Lead Installer/Service Technician

Central Valley Security Company seeking experienced people for several positions available in Modesto/Merced.

We install, maintain, and monitor burglar alarms, fire alarms, CCTV and Access Systems. In addition, we also install voice/data cabling. A large portion of our work is commercial/government; but, we do a fair amount of residential. Our primary territory is Merced to Lodi; however, there is some occasional travel outside of the area. Our offices are located in Modesto and Merced. The current openings are located in Modesto and Merced.

Positions Available:

Lead Installer(s):

• Installation of small and large scale burglar alarm systems
• Installation of commercial fire alarm systems to UL Standards
• Installation of large scale CCTV systems. Knowledge of IT/Network functions
• Installation of Access Control Systems, computer literacy, and basic programming skills are required
• Ability to act as a lead technician/foreman and supervise an apprentice, or crew after apprenticeship
• Fire life safety is a major bonus and would greatly increase our offer

Service Technician(s):

• Testing of fire alarm systems
• Service and troubleshoot existing systems as described above
• Ability to be on call after hours for a one week period approximately every five weeks after apprenticeship
• Installation of small and scale burglar alarm systems
• Ability to communicate and present one's self in a professional manner in front of our customer
• Fire Life Safety is a major bonus and would greatly increase our offer

Successful candidates will possess the following:

• A clean driving record
• Ability to pass State required background check
• Drug-free
• At least three, or more, years of experience in the industry
• Experience with any of the following panel types; Honeywell, Fire-lite, Silent Knight, Notifier, Bosch, DSC, GE and EST
