Lead Chemist Job at Certified Group
The Lead Chemist will develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for sample testing process, documents, methods and procedures that comply with cGMPs, ICH, USP/NF, and FDA regulations and guidelines.
Essential Functions
- Perform validation/verification work.
- Perform a wide variety of research laboratory tasks and experiments, make detailed observations, analyze data, and interpret results.
- Compile and analyze test information to determine operating efficiency of process or equipment and diagnose malfunctions.
- Operate, troubleshoot, maintain laboratory equipment, and understand the analyses/methods performed on them.
- Act with impartiality and work in accordance with the Chemistry Laboratory and management.
- Act in a way to not be influenced by particular perspectives, value judgments, community bias, or personal interests that could compromise impartiality.
- Communicate possible impartiality risks to management and/or Quality Assurance from the Chemistry Laboratory operations.
- Develop new methods as well as improve current methods when necessary.
- Perform quality control and ensure compliance to customer specifications, standards, and good manufacturing practices.
- Establish standards, involving experimental, theoretical, or practical application of chemistry and related sciences.
- Set up laboratory equipment and instrumentation required for tests, research, or process control.
- Confer with other laboratory personnel to conduct analyses, interpret test results, or develop nonstandard tests.
- Receive a satisfactory evaluation of job performance.
- Work with all personnel in the laboratory.
- Work primarily in a laboratory environment with the appropriate PPE for hazardous solvents, and follow established laboratory safety practices.
