Job Summary and Qualifications

Job Summary:

Provide for management, leadership and coordination of activities involved in the handling, sorting, inspecting, folding, assembly, preparation of hospital linen. Insure that customer service levels are exceptional, of high quality and are efficient in meeting the needs of the users. Recommend cost effective methods to support the system while continually directing departmental improvements. Has an understanding of the Healthcare Laundry Accreditation requirements as they apply to the facility. Foster an environment of participation, teamwork, best practice and professional growth among staff. To ensure all personnel are properly trained to safely perform their duties. To ensure HCA Policies and Procedures are adhered to at all times. To implement all direction given by the Laundry Director.


What qualifications you will need:

Required Education: Associate's Degree

Preferred Education: Bachelor’s Degree

Required License: None

Preferred License: None

Required Experience: Minimum of three years of technical and supervisory experience in managing a staff of 20+ employees. Excellent Computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, Internet and Intranet software, e-mail.

Preferred Experience: Five years of technical and supervisory experience in the laundry healthcare industry. Knowledge of industrial laundry operations.
