Job Description:
Laundry Attendants are responsible for lifting and transporting bundles of linen weighing up to 50 pounds, performing laundry functions, and other housekeeping duties at the hotel.
Essential Duties:
- Efficiently and effectively collects, lifts and transports bundles of linen weighing up to 50 pounds and delivers them to laundry chute/on-site laundry room.
- Performs laundry care functions (washing, drying, folding, delivering) following manufacturer’s instructions and established cleanliness standards.
- Assist housekeeping with stripping and making beds.
- Follow strict guidelines with regard to safety and emergency procedures.
- Exert up to 50 pounds of force to lift, push, pull, carry or otherwise move objects.
- Perform work safely in accordance with departmental safety procedures.
- Greet guests and team members in a professional and friendly manner.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Must be able to independently lift 50 pounds and carry that load up and down stairs and through hallways.
- Exhibit a friendly, cooperative and professional demeanor.
- Must be safety conscious.
- Must be well groomed, self-disciplined and willing to comply with uniform guidelines.
- Maintains productive and respectful working relationships.
- Able to interact professionally with a diverse group of people.
- Must be able to work well alone & as part of a team.
