Job Summary

RUME provides accessible testing and wellness programs for all. We offer point of care testing, vaccinations and urgent care services at a price that patients can afford. Our goal is to provide Healthcare and testing for everyone. This individual will be responsible for maintaining the Lab Quality Management program, and implement improvements as required to maintain compliance, including, but not limited to, standard operating procedures (SOPs), policies and documents pertaining to lab operations. This role will be reporting to the Laboratory Director of Quality Assurance.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Quality Assurance with evaluating, designing and implementing the lab quality assurance program to ensure that the laboratory is compliant with current regulations under CLIA, CA State regulations and Accreditation under Joint Commission or the College of American Pathologists (CAP).
• Assist the Director of Quality Assurance with overseeing CLIA lab operations including lab processes and personnel.
• Maintaining Courier routes and staffing personnel
• Assist with managing the review and development of technical SOP and current CLIA regulations and knowledgeable of CA State and local practices.
• Provide updated daily statistical data on testing and changes required for daily operations.
• Ensure testing is performed in accordance with Laboratory SOPs and current company practices
• Ensure all remedial follow up or actions are taken and documented whenever significant deviations from the laboratory’s established performance specifications along with the proper reporting to the Laboratory Director of Quality Assurance
• Daily Quality Measures (QM) indicator logs, and determine corrective action as needed.
• Maintain all records and documents required for licensure purposes for CLIA, California, and any accreditation programs.
• Communicate with Laboratory Director of Quality Assurance to maintain compliance.
• Any additional projects as warranted by the Laboratory Director of Quality Assurance to include any new programs initiated.

Education and Experience

• Preferred – Minimal 2 years of CLIA, Joint Commission or CAP quality system principles, concepts, and standards
• Knowledge of Google Software programs, spreadsheets, database programs and applications and document control in a lab environment
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Effective organization and problem-solving skills
• Capable of managing multiple projects and prioritizing
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, management and customers.

Physical Requirements:

• This is a hybrid position. You may be asked to travel when needed to perform on site work at the laboratory.
• Must have access to reliable, high-speed internet and a dedicated workspace
• Ability to stand, and remain on your feet for long periods
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
• Last minute schedule or travel changes may be required
