Our Lab Assistant is a support position in the laboratory setting. Students, individuals with patient care background and others with some lab experience would be a great match for this role!
What you’ll do:
- Assist in the processing and collection of cytologic specimens
- Maintain the histology and cytology files of specimens, blocks, slides and data.
- Perform maintenance and troubleshooting as well as assisting with student education and new employee orientation and training.
- May be required to function in other areas of the laboratory or pathology
- Create an atmosphere of trust and confidence with patients

What you’ll have:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Prefer graduate from or in the process of pursing a phlebotomy certificate from an accredited laboratory program or medical -related program
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic computer skills
- Personal transportation may be required for off campus laboratory related activities
