We have one opening on Night shift asLabel Inventory/Spice Coordinator available. Maintains an accurate and sufficient inventory of labels to support plant production. Unloads, and stocks labels, spices and ingredients. High school plus additional training preferred. Math skills include addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and fractions. Good written and verbal English communication skills needed, some conversational Spanish ability a plus. Ability to keep accurate and detailed records. Basic personal computer skills, with knowledge of standard business software. Certified forklift operator. Valid NC driver’s license with good driving record required.

Key Functions

Essential Functions

• Maintains an accurate and adequate inventory of labels to support plant production for both shifts. Arranges labels and inventories/counts them in a manner that will assure the company has on-hand the necessary labels required to operate daily without shortages.
• Informs Warehouse Supervisor when to order items to prevent inventories from running out.
• Uses the latest revision of daily production schedule as a guide, stages labels for both production shifts.
• Restocks returned labels. Inspects and counts labels which are returned after each production shift. Checks partial boxes to insure labels are not mixed. Consolidates partial boxes. Seals boxes of labels after inspecting them, with Mt Olive tape, then returns the boxes to their proper storage area.
• Inspects product labels when they are received from the Manufacturer and stocks them in the appropriate designated area.
• Looks up label inventory electronically. Updates label location inventory spreadsheets daily or as needed. Prints inventory reports and makes adjustments as approved by the Warehouse Supervisor.
• Maintains physical label files at all times with the most current approved labels and samples of the same.
• Operates a forklift to unload, transport, and stock labels and other packaging materials as necessary.

Other Duties

• Cycle counts labels and packaging materials at least three times annually and other times as directed by the Warehouse Supervisor.
• When design or ingredient changes are made to any label(s), it is the responsibility of the LISC to use old labels prior to moving to new inventory or to discard the old labels before moving to new labels. .
• Travels to local materials warehouses in conjunction with some job duties. Drives own or company vehicle. Must have a valid NC drivers license and agree to an annual driving record check.
• Cleans work area and warehouse 72 & 89.
• Uses a Scan Gun to receive and count packaging materials.
• Unload, verify and put away ingredients.
• Count ingredients once per day every week for ordering purposes and turn that count into our Buyer.
• Check ingredients every day to make sure that they are being FIFO rotation, boxes are being taped and put back in the correct location.
• Cleans ingredients area daily.
• Help with month-end counts
• Follows safety rules and company policies.
• Participates in training, employee meetings, committees, project teams, etc. as appropriate.
• Receives written instructions from packing schedule or verbal instructions from supervisor on above tasks and performs other work as directed by supervisor.
