Job Responsibilities:
The Lab Tech maintains and improves patients' oral health by fabricating fixed and removable prostheses according to dentist prescriptions.
  • Must be able to accomplish all general duties including; interpreting lab Rx, supply inventory, equipment maintenance and operation, model production and articulation, infection control procedures, polishing appliances, shipping and receiving.
  • Carry out all duties within guidelines of company’s infection control protocol.
  • Must be able to efficiently perform tasks in some or all of the following categories:
    • Crown & Bridge – implants, precision attachments, surveying, face bows, ceramic anteriors and bridges, case planning, shade consulting, porcelain veneers & onlays, and other complex ceramic cases and quality control inspections.
    • Dentures & Partials – case planning, surveying, face bows, complex cases, overdenture attachments, U with L set ups, implants and other complex denture/partial cases and quality control inspections.
    • Ortho – complex expansion appliances, case planning, surveying, face bows, Frankels, RPE, quad helix, bionators, TMJ splints, herbst, Schwarz, magnets, sagital, other complex ortho cases and quality control inspections.
  • May perform Lab Tech I & II duties in any or all of the three categories; crown & bridge, dentures & partials and ortho.
Job Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required and a minimum of five years’ lab technician experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience which will provide the ability to perform the essential functions of the position. Dental tech trade school preferred.
  • Certified Dental Technician (CDT) preferred.
  • Dental terminology as applied to the dental technician occupation.
  • Principles, practices, methods and techniques of dental laboratory technology.
  • Sterilization and safety procedures.
  • Dental laboratory tools and equipment.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Excellent oral and written skills.
  • Work methodically and reliably in a highly organized manner.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records related to the work.
  • Operate and maintain dental tools and equipment.
  • Repair and/or reline dentures.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
