Solmax is hiring a lab technician for our Kingstree, SC plant

Position Overview:

The Laboratory Technician I will be responsible for in-process and final inspections. They must work to internal specifications to aid all inspections. Must ensure all work carried out adheres to H&S polices and certified quality systems. Must be able to multi-task. This position exists to perform checks to determine the physical characteristics of material for quality compliance and process control. The ideal candidate will have an enthusiasm and genuine interest in inspection and quality systems.

Essential Job Functions

• Set up, adjust and operate measuring equipment and instrumentation.
• Inspect finished goods for physical characteristics.
• Input test data correctly onto Quality system.
• Maintain the Essential Job Functions

work area in a clean and orderly fashion.

• Inspect in-coming material/ oversee inspection process and

help improve as necessary.

• Continuously develop their own skills.
• Assist in problem solving activities.
• Support Quality team as applicable.
• Work safely within the companies H&S guidelines.

Other Job Functions

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift 30 pounds.
• Basic math skills.
• Computer literate
• Basic Microsoft office skills preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.75 per hour
