Knox County Sheriff's Office Deputies Job at Knox County- Nebraska
The Knox County Sheriff’s Office, Center, NE is looking to fill two full-time deputy positions. Knox county has several small communities with excellent schools and an Avera Hospital. Knox County’s north border is the Missouri River and the Lewis and Clark Recreational Lake. The scenic Niobrara River also flows through Knox County. Knox County has several state parks and wildlife management areas within its borders. Knox County Sheriff’s Office currently has four full-time and two part-time deputies. Our focus is investigations with some traffic patrol. Our schedule gives a deputy every other weekend off and rotates between days and nights. Some benefits include paid employee health insurance with family health available, paid dental & vision insurance with family plan available, PTO, retirement, paid continuing education, cell phone, uniform allowance, overtime opportunities and a take home patrol pickup which is equipped with MACH, TraCS, E-citation. Deputies are asked to live in Knox County but county residency may be negotiable.
Nebraska Certification is mandatory. Salary will depend on experience. Applicants must have good moral character and be able to work a rotating schedule including some holidays. All applicants will be subject to a thorough background check. The position will remain open until filled.
