We are looking for a Key Account Manager for two of our tech industry events: MAU (Mobile Apps Unlocked) & UCX (Unified Communications Expo). This position is focused on creating relationships with key prospective and current attendee customers while participating in industry events, sharing customer insights to drive brand strategy, executing on programming that fulfills their needs and providing them with a concierge experience leading up to and during the event.

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Partner with event leadership, marketing and sales on strategies to deliver on event objectives, define and execute on customer needs and meet goals
  • Research, identify, analyze and assess new strategic audience opportunities that drives attendee development and develop and execute on plans to deliver those audiences
  • Establish relationships with prospective and target attendees; industry associations and partners
  • Participate in industry events to make new connections and build brand awareness
  • Foster relationships with prospective and current audience base to understand customer needs to determine how the events can serve their businesses and careers
  • Develop and execute on audience development strategies and event programming to maximize attendance and value for target audience (includes but not limited to matched meetings programs)
  • Continually tracking and sharing insights back to event team to help drive brand strategy and unlock future opportunities
  • Work closely with marketing team to develop marketing and communications plans for target audience
  • Provide concierge services to target audience – assisting customers throughout entire event journey (registration to at-show experience)
  • Achieve key account goals including retaining current customers and actively capturing and closing new customers

The skills and experience you’ll need:

  • 2+ years sales/recruiting, client relations/customer service background
  • You’re curious, resourceful, a self-starter, a creative problem solver, an organized project manager and a team player, motivated to reach event and customer goals
  • Strong organizational and reporting skills
  • Fearless communicator via phone, email and in-person meetings
  • Ability and interest to travel throughout the year to various industry events and assigned events
  • Experience with conferences, events and/or trade shows a bonus
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Teams
