We are looking for a full time and a part time Kennel Worker.
Must be available to work weekends and holidays for 30-36 hours weekly. This role will almost certainly need to be available for weekend shifts and will require holiday shifts as well.
Multiple shifts available: 1. Full time role hours are Wednesday-Sunday from 7am-1pm (Wednesday-Saturday) and 8am-5pm (Sunday), 2. Part time role hours are Saturday-Monday 7am-1pm (Sunday) and 1pm-7pm (Saturday/Monday). There may be additional shifts during the week for vacation or sick coverage.
This role requires attention to detail and excellent customer service skills; with our clients (both human and animal) and your co-workers. You may be required to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
We spend our days working with animals and cleaning up after them. A love of animals and a love of cleaning are the match made in heaven for this role! Experience is not strictly required if there is a willingness to learn and grow with us.
As a kennel worker, you will be responsible for:
- answering phones and scheduling appointments
- bathing dogs, trimming nails
- taking all breeds of dogs outside during the day
- ensuring adequate water for our pups at all times
- feeding and medicating animals
- caring for cats, providing food, water, and changing litter
- cleaning the kennel; sweeping, mopping, dusting, etc.
- laundering kennel towels and beds
- other duties as assigned
NOTE: This is a non-smoking property.
