Kennel Attendant Job at Americas Staffing Partner
Overview:
Position is in Otay Mesa for the Border Patrol animals. The Kennel houses up to 65-80 canines daily, which requires day-to-day care of CBP owned canines in accordance with all existing Federal, state and local laws. regulations, policies and procedures.
Duties include
- Clean and sanitize kennels
- Daily feedings and watering of dogs
- Handling of trained and untrained dogs
- Observe dogs for abnormal activity
- Administer prescribed medication and first aid to any injured or sick dog.
- Occasionally drive transportation van to drop off canine.
Qualifications:
- Applicants must be willing to work 10 pm to 6 am. Pay scale is $16.45.-17.10 per hour depending on the schedule shift you are working. In addition to your hourly wage you will also get the current Health and Welfare amount of $4.22 per hour into your salary or applied to our medical plan. The Health and Welfare is subject to change based on the yearly rates issued by the Department of Labor.
- Candidate must pass background investigation.
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must be willing to handle the dogs by hand. Cannot be afraid of the dogs.
- Prior experience working with animals is a must. Please only apply if you meet the job requirements.
