Keep Austin Housed Job at AmeriCorps
KAH places 30 full-time members in nonprofits across Austin that work directly with individuals experiencing homelessness in the community. Members work with clients to overcome barriers to housing, employment, and personal stability. In addition to service at their sites, members develop personally and professionally through team-building events, trainings, and service opportunities.

Member Duties : Keep Austin Housed members increase the capacity of 10 local Austin social service agencies by providing case management services. Members address barriers to housing and employment providing support to clients, making significant and lasting changes. Members assess client needs, develop action plans, and provide guidance as clients work toward self-sufficiency; they may provide referrals, support, and life skills training to clients. Client population includes youth, families, single adults, ex-offenders, individuals with disabilities, and veterans. Members also develop personally and professionally through team-building events, trainings, and service opportunities.
