What You Should Bring:

Solid knowledge of GIS theory and practice; thorough knowledge of topologically valid geospatial data development and quality control maintenance techniques and practices; understanding of relational data principles; ability to effectively integrate spatial and non-spatial data; ability to develop geoprocessing models and automated scripts; ability to develop and document workflows; effective written and oral communication skills, especially with regard to technical documentation.

Duties:

  • Prepare map services for web map applications using ArcGIS for Server and ArcGIS Online
  • Work with internal teams to resolve testing issues and bug fixes
  • Perform QA/QC on a variety of geospatial data products related to education
  • Assist in the training and support of staff in the use of GIS and related practices
  • Create models to automate processes and allow for batch processing
  • Coordinate the acquisition of new spatial data and integrate it into new and existing geodatabases
  • Meet with users to define data needs, project requirements, and required outputs
  • Conduct research to locate and review publicly available datasets
  • Create updated geospatial data products on an annual basis
  • Participate in internal and external team meetings

Required Skills:

  • 1-4 years of related GIS experience with Esri products; including ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online
  • Experience creating and publishing web maps
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to check own work product to confirm compliance with requirements and expectations
  • Must possess good organizational, and oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to details and experience with QA / QC and data analysis
  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related specialized area and/or the equivalent years’ experience

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience using Jira or a similar ticket tracking software
  • Programming experience using Python or other analysis tools
  • Experience with cloud computing, Amazon Web Services
  • Experience with Portal for ArcGIS and ArcGIS for Server
  • Experience with Power BI
  • Experience with Agile Development methodologies

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
