Job Title: Jr. Quantitative Groundwater Scientist
Location(s): Grand Junction, CO
Hiring Range: $45 - $64K (Depending on education, experience, and location)
Status: Full-Time
FLSA: Exempt
Clearance and Health Requirements:
Primary responsibilities and essential functions:
Solid Technical foundation in math, physics and chemistry
Valid Driver's License
Desirable qualifications, experience, or proficiencies of the ideal candidate:
Masters in Geology, Engineering or Hydrology or closely related field with 0 to 5 years related experience.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
The employee exerts up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to touch or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.

Clearance and Health Requirements:
- Criminal Background Check
- Pre-placement Drug Screening
- Fit for Duty Test (if applicable)
Primary responsibilities and essential functions:
- Under senior group members supervision/guidance will conduct technical evaluations, write reports, and give presentations as requested.
- Understands geology, geochemistry, saturated and unsaturated groundwater flow, and contaminant transport principles.
- Conducts field work to support hydrogeologic and geochemical evaluations.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong quantitative skills
Solid Technical foundation in math, physics and chemistry
Valid Driver's License
Desirable qualifications, experience, or proficiencies of the ideal candidate:
- Knowledge of groundwater/reactive transport modeling and three-dimensional visualization is a plus but not a requirement.
