Overview
TEC Systems Group is currently seeking a Junior Data Analyst to join our team. If you’re interested in a career in data, this is the perfect opportunity! In this opportunity, you will work alongside professional data scientists, analysts, engineers, and developers to build and update reports and visualizations, update underlying data, and maintain data engineering pipelines. In addition, you will have the opportunity for on-the-job training in Power BI, Azure Data Factory, SQL Data Warehouse, AVEVA PI and more. TEC Systems group also has established training plans to help you become a data scientist or data engineer while working full time.

Essential Functions

• Prior coursework and/or experience in one or more of the following:
• Database Design
• Engineering or Computer Science
• Mathematics

• Demonstrate the following:
• Able to think critically and solve problems
• Be curious and ask good questions
• Active listener; able to listen to learn, evaluate, and analyze
• Perform research and apply the information to solutions
• Thrive in a team environment
• Possess an aptitude and passion for tackling technological challenges

• Advanced Excel knowledge in the following areas: external database connectivity, pivot tables, vlookup and other advanced formulas.
• Good written and verbal communication skills

Desired Technical Skills

• SQL Proficiency
• DAX Proficiency
• AVEVA PI Experience
• Report writing or BI work
• Knowledge of a Programming language (Python, R, C#, C++, etc.)

Qualifications

• Minimum 3.0 GPA (candidate must provide GPA prior to interview)
• Position available to both undergraduate and graduate students pursuing any degree path so long as student possesses the required skills and aptitudes
