Position Summary

The Jewish Federation of Greater Dayton seeks a part-time Technology Program Manager for Jewish Family Services. The position will provide oversite of the Ohio Department on Aging At-Home Technology Pilot Project, a grant-funded program, as well as technology assistance and support, training, programming, and oversite for program participants and staff. The position is 20 – 25 hours per week at $18.50 per hour and reports to the Jewish Family Services Senior Director.

Principal Responsibilities

Related administrative activities may include, but are not limited to providing support and technical assistance to participants and general administration of the pilot project:

  • Recruiting and enrolling participants;
  • Visiting participants’ homes to set up technology;
  • Providing training, technical assistance, and support to participants;
  • Monitoring participant engagement;
  • Completing assessments;
  • Participating in required reporting activities;
  • Developing, delivering, and assessing innovative instruction and programming including in-person and online instruction, workshops, and tech-based programs and services; and,
  • Participating in Ohio Department on Aging (ODA) meetings or interactions with the ODA Project Manager.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of an associate’s degree or equivalent from an accredited institution of higher education.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills; as well as competency in computer and assistive technology as required for the position.
  • Required to have knowledge of general office software, particularly the Microsoft Office Suite and use of databases.
  • Have current drivers license and own car.
  • Required to have organizational and analytical skills as it relates to the responsibilities of the position.
  • Ability to adjust under changing circumstances and remain graceful under pressure.
  • Self-starter and flexible team player.
  • Have ability to respect confidential nature of agency work.
  • Be able to multi-task and work with frequent disruptions.
  • Must be able to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
  • Experience and patience in working with adults over age 60 preferred.
  • Knowledge of Jewish religion, values and culture a plus.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
