Janitorial Supervisor

SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE:

Janitorial Supervisor who will be responsible for supporting the housekeeping team to ensure that wet trailers, laundry station, guest dorms and public areas are cleaned according to Team Housing Solutions standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

This class specification lists the major duties and requirements of the job and is not all-inclusive. Incumbent(s) may be expected to perform job-related duties other than those contained in this document and may be required to have specific job-related knowledge and skills.

· Supervise cleaning & laundry crews to include performance evaluations, time keeping, training, and mentoring.

· Maintain day-to-day housekeeping operations.

· Assist Camp Director with resolving glitches and following up with guests.

· Keep constant communication with the laundry department to ensure clothing is cleaned in a timely fashion.

· Maintain physical space, ensuring a safe, clean, and functional environment.

· Receive, manage, and process work order requests; ensure problems are resolved quickly.

· Act as liaison between employees and any outside contractors needed to resolve specialized problems.

· Coordinate work orders with maintenance department, follows up and ensures work is completed.

· Inspect all work areas to ensure that the quality of work is up to THS standards. For any deficiencies found during inspection, supervisor is responsible for coordinating immediate resolution.

· Provide training and feedback to the staff when standards have not been met.

· Maintain inventory of supplies.

· Perform other related duties as assigned.

· Actively working along with the laundry and housekeeping team and assist with cleaning and laundry to ensure that the work is accomplished.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education andExperience:

High school diploma or GED; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Required Knowledge and Skills

Knowledge of:

· Previous experience in a similar role

· Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the Spanish and English language.

· Computer applications related to work.

· Communicating effectively in oral and written forms.

· Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of the work.

· Contributing effectively to the accomplishment of team or work unit goals, objectives, and activities.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS:

Continued employment is contingent upon all required licenses and certificates being maintained in active status without suspension or revocation.

· Texas Driver’s License

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

· Must be willing to work in austere/spartan environments, withstanding unstable work hours during standup.

· Understanding that this could require excessive hours during the day and into the night.

· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

· Must be able to lift to 30 pounds with ease.

· Position will require safely climbing stairs.

· Must be able to withstand excessive walking throughout the complex on a daily basis.

· Ability to perform various physical duties as assigned.

· Must possess a high level of attention to detail and strong work ethic.

Work is subject to performance under adverse environmental condition.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.50 - $18.00 per hour
