Under the direction of the Area Supervisor assigned and the Owners, this position is responsible for performing janitorial duties as outlined in the service scope for the location assigned. Also, to assist in managing the day to day client requests and employees. Knowledge or willingness to learn proper cleaning techniques and know and understand all company policies is essential.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

• Lead will interact with the client to provide professional and prompt customer service.
• The ability to help the management team find new hires and replacements for employees that quit or call in sick for any of the weekly shifts.
• Assist with the coordination of crew members scheduling.
• Perform quality control inspections and performance audits.
• Monitor crew members task completion to ensure cleanliness standards are met.
• Review and respond to emails regarding operations and customer relations.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and consumables.
• Ensure janitor closet meets safety and cleanliness standards.
• Perform required janitorial/specialty work (carpet, cleaning, windows, etc.)
• Document and report issues regarding safety/security, building maintenance, damaged equipment, or any other pertinent issues.
• A minimum of 2 - 4 hours a week of checking in on the other shifts to ensure all cleaning is getting performed as trained or to assist with any projects or issues.
• Monitor ALL break and lunch times, ensure that all employees are taking proper break and lunch periods.
• Identify any unsafe work practices and immediately correct any issues, be able to identify any potential safety risks and re-train employee if needed.
• Maintain a high level of respect with the other employees and report any incidents between the employees to Area Supervisor/ Owners immediately.
• Be able to maintain a calm presence at all times and call the Area Supervisor immediately if an employee is not listening and becoming hostile or angry, avoid confrontation and report any incidents to Human Resources immediately.
• Ensure that the company policies as written in the handbook are being followed by ALL employees.

• Basic knowledge of cleaning products or willing to learn

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Six month or more related facilities maintenance experience
• Bilingual (English and Spanish) in speaking, reading and writing

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The work requires routine walking, standing, stooping, reaching and bending for up to 8 hours at a time. Lifting and carrying items weighing more than 15 pounds up to 30 pounds. If it is necessary to move an item over 30 pounds DO NOT ATTEMPT TO LIFT. Repetitive movement for up to 4 hours at a time involving the shoulder, hands, knees, hips and back (both upper and lower).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.50 - $22.00 per hour
