Janitor / Grounds Keeper - School - Arlington Heights Job at Family Guidance Centers, Inc.
Metro Prep High School, Grade School and Laureate Day School have been educating and supporting students with special needs for over 25 years supported by FGC.
Essential Duties:
- Promotes positive customer service culture which encourages quality patient outcomes and promotes staff retention
- Maintain school grounds including, but not limited to: weeding, watering, mowing, plants/ mulch beds.
- Keep grounds clear of garbage and debris
- Take out garbage, condense and neatly place in dumpsters
- Remove snow and salt all walkways
- After heavy rainstorms, check that drains are clear
- Keep drains clear of mulch
- Clean all interior and exterior windows, doors and windowsills (weather permitting)
- Clean all base boards
- Dust all mini blinds
- Wash walls if needed
- Clean bathrooms: sinks, toilets, baseboards, mirrors, floors, wipe down stalls and door handles, take out trash and empty personal hygiene containers
- Refill hand towels, toilet paper and soap dispensers
- Sweep and mop floors
- Vacuum rugs and carpets
- Refill bathroom air fresheners
- Replace urinal cakes
- Notify supervisor when supplies are getting low NOT when they are out
- Inform supervisor of any maintenance problems
- Performs other duties as assigned
Schedule: Monday - Friday (6:00a - 2:30p)

Education and/or Experience: Janitorial and Grounds keeping experience; Wiliness to learn new duties are required. Able to follow written and verbal instructions and work with team members. Must be punctual and dependable.
