The Technician II is a mid-level technical position that requires voice and data network experience in wired and wireless networks and skills in installation and programming for complex services. The Technician II demonstrates the experience and ability to perform all Technician I duties and responsibilities with high levels of independence and initiative.

Summary of Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

· Interacting with show and event customers to help connect their networks

· Taking show schematics/ maps and plans and transforming them into real-life, well connected networks

· Monitoring the inventory and restocking their cart to ensure they have all the tools needed for the customer’s set-up as planned

· Troubleshooting on the spot issues and pro-actively assisting customers with set-up, maintenance and take- down of installations by color coding and proper testing of copper and fiberoptic cables, installing jumpers and patch cables and providing other technical assistance as trained

· Clearly and professionally communicates with all clients and facility staff regarding company products and services

· Recommends changes in procedures, maintenance requirements and upgrades of existing services to company and client

· Analyzes client requests and clearly recommends additional or more suitable services to meet client expectations

· Demonstrates initiative to develop to higher-level skilled position requiring less supervision

· Provides leadership and development to junior team members by training them in basic installations and services

· Troubleshoot existing Security camera systems

· Troubleshoot existing Digital signage systems

· Troubleshoot existing parking systems

· Specific Skills: Desirable: Proficient in the following software applications including but not limited to Windows Servers and SQL, Windows 10/11, MS Office 365 Suite, Barracuda Backup System, Kaspersky Anti-Virus, PBX Phone System, HP Switching, Samsung Wireless Controller, DNS and other OTC software applications.

· Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, etc. This team member will have good working knowledge of physical data networks, both fiber and CAT5/6, proper terminations, familiarity with Internet and IP networks, Cisco/HP router IP configuration and troubleshooting tasks, ability to use Telnet, Traceroute, Ping, properly configure/troubleshoot TCP/IP configurations on multiple PC operating platforms, build and test straight and crossover cables both Ethernet and T-1, troubleshoot physical connectivity for both fiber and CAT5/6 backbones and build networks. Must be able to work with minimal supervision, possess good customer service skills and be able to exercise independent judgment.

· Must be able to provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, and hardware. Respond to support request either in person or over the phone. Good listener and clearly communicates in English.

Other Functions:

· Attend pre-conference meetings.

· Provide technical sales assistance to the overall sale of our products while assisting the Management team with technical expertise.

· Support all levels of management by handling other assigned duties.

· Responsible for maintaining data/voice infrastructure and equipment.

· Demonstrated ability to multi-task between simultaneous computer applications.

· Must pass an in-house Aesop and a PC Literacy Test annually.
