Summary/Objective

The IT Systems Manager is responsible for accomplishing information system objectives by managing staff, designing and monitoring information systems.

Essential Functions

  • Manage Software implementations and upgrades.
  • Manage Software Licensing.
  • Manage Hardware implementation and upgrades.
  • Manage IT related outsourcing contracts.
  • Manage ERP system Customizations, Automation and Reporting.
  • Manage Business Phone Systems.
  • Work within designated budget to fulfill the IT needs for the company.
  • Troubleshoot downed systems.
  • Lead development and implementation processes for the organization's IT systems and department.
  • Develop and implement business continuity protocols to minimize disruption to business operations in the event of emergency situations or data loss.
  • Establish efficiency and efficacy standards, providing recommendations for improvement of IT infrastructure.
  • Analyze IT infrastructure and systems performance to assess operating costs, productivity levels, upgrade requirements, and other metrics and needs.
  • Oversee security of systems, networks, and enterprise information.
  • Facilitate IT security audits or investigations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external IT vendors and service providers.
  • Coordinate multi-site IT systems via enterprise resource planning (ERP).
  • Maintain accurate records.
  • Train employees as needed on software/technology systems.
  • Assist employees in daily computer functions as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

This is a primarily office position which requires sitting at a desk most of the day operating a computer. Requires occasional IT installation and troubleshooting on the production floor which will expose the IT Systems Manager to dust, heat, dirt and mist.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. While normal hours of work and days for LeClaire Manufacturing are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., but may vary based on job related requirements.

Travel

No travel is expected for this position other than some local travel in the Quad City area.

Required Education and Experience

  • 5 years' experience working in Information Technology
  • Expert in IT Systems Management
  • Experience with ERP software
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or at least 5 years of comparable experience, required. Master's degree or MBA preferred.
