As the IT Systems Administrator, you will oversee the day-to-day operations a global, hybrid Microsoft Active Directory Forest for a high-tech manufacturing company including but not limited to the support of servers, laptops, desktops, workstations, scanners, barcoding and label printing equipment and their interaction with a cloud-based enterprise identity management systems and enterprise applications. This will provide you with a great opportunity to learn and work with various technologies with high visibility to the manufacturing operations of the business.


What you will do

  • Support Active Directory footprint including DNS, Azure Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, etc.
  • Implement and domain trusts and DNS forwarding for acquired or divested businesses
  • Help determine tools, tactics, and procedures to manage and monitor AD/Azure infrastructure
  • Recommend and implement standards that ensure adherence to security policies and procedures
  • Facilitate the deployment or removal of software and implement security measures via group policy
  • Develop and support standard operating procedures to simplify and streamline IT processes
  • Identify, analyze, and report resource constraints within Azure/O365/AD environment to ensure system availability and continuity
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, investigate, and resolve infrastructure issues and provide root cause analysis
  • Experience with email administration (e.g. mailbox add/move/change, forwarding, relays, distribution lists, shared inboxes, discovery, tracing, secure email gateways)
  • Experience with backup and recovery for O365 applications and data
  • Ensure 24x7 availability of services through proactive measures and monitoring
  • Provide support of Windows 10 and O365 for end-users and manufacturing systems
  • Support imaging and deployment of PCs and Workstations for end users and shop floor systems
  • Occasionally support network engineering in managing firewalls, switches, wireless access points, etc.
  • Document and gather evidence in support of ISO 27001, SOC 2, and other audits
  • Quickly respond to requests, incidents and changes logged in global ServiceDesk system
  • Execute and provide feedback for operational policies, procedures, processes, and standards
  • Lead and manage projects related to servers and end computing devices
  • Ensure 100% user satisfaction by providing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and timely resolution of more complex problems
  • Ensure all operational processes are clearly documented and maintained
  • Participate in support of global service desk issues when necessary


What you will bring

  • 5+ years of experience in information technology
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Must have experience with desktop technologies
  • Must have experience with Microsoft and Linux operating systems
  • Must have experience with bar-coding, label-printing and other wireless shop floor technologies
  • Must have experience with printer and print server administration
  • Must have experience with Windows PC and server patching (WSUS/Intune/SCCM)
  • Must have experience with Microsoft Active Directory user + group management
  • Must have experience with virtualization technologies including Vmware/Hyper-V/KVM
  • Must have experience with Active Directory domain administration
  • Must have experience with security email gateways like Mimecast or Proofpoint
  • Prefer certifications in MCSE or O365
  • Strong knowledge of networking concepts such as DNS, DHCP, HTTP, SSL, and TCP/IP protocols
  • Experience with ITIL based concepts including request, incident and change management
  • Familiarity with Cloud-based ServiceDesks like ServiceNow, Zendesk, Freshworks desirable
  • Demonstrated excellence in customer service and customer focus
