Position Overview

Term: 6 month Temp-to-perm

Hours: Mon-Friday - 40 hours per week - No OT. Hybrid onsite/remote.

IT Specialist, Digital Workplace

The IT Specialist, Digital Workplace is an end user technologist role that will provide effective IT support across all aspects of the company site. This position will deliver a high-quality, high satisfaction experience with end-users around core IT services. This position is responsible for supporting IT management and maintaining the overall IT infrastructure and end-user environment within the local site, as well as support a broad range of IT-related initiatives, projects and activities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Service Desk Operations:

  • Act as a single point of Contact for all Incidents, Service Request created by local users and escalate to regional/global team if necessary
  • Support local leadership on IT Systems, IT infrastructure designs, standards/policy definition, and operations.
  • Provide help, assistance and support to colleagues in IT-related matters
  • Order, set up and configuring new laptops, desktops and other accessories
  • Set up new users and disabling expired accounts in accordance with HR requirements
  • Assign application access rights to users
  • Support during after office hour to ensure smooth operation of IT systems

IT Systems and Applications:

  • Assist in implementation, maintenance, patching and upgrade of IT systems
  • Design, develop and change programs/applications by changing configuration and/or using development tools
  • Perform basic configuration, installation and upgrade of applications and related hardware.
  • Ensuring the integrity and correctness of data input/stored in forms, reports and system database
  • Create and generate reports according to managements and user’s requirement.

OTHER CORE FUNCTIONS

Support IT Infrastructure Team:

  • Support corporate network system LAN/WAN/WWAN
  • Manage VMWare, Email, Backups, File server, Anti-Virus, Security, and CCTV system
  • Ensure all software purchased licensing is recorded and maintained
  • Maintain and support other computer peripheral devices such as printers, switches, access points, etc.
  • Monitor IT Equipment routinely. Proactively monitor various aspects of IT infrastructure (e.g. network traffic flow end to end), identify areas of concern, collection of logs and escalate if necessary to ensure all aspects meet SLAs and business needs, and support in developing action plans to address them.

Support Regional and Global Activities:

  • Involved in small to medium-sized IT projects as instructed by the Manager and/or Supervisor
  • Support implementation, and documentation of network servers, routers, switches, security, and any other infrastructure related equipment
  • Participation in the development of the company's IT systems
  • Support Supervisor to implement, manage, maintain and document network servers, routers, switches, security, and any other infrastructure related equipment.
  • Support Supervisor in executing computer maintenance with other Information Technology professionals such as Region or Global IT teams
  • Work with Supervisor and other global & regional IT administrators to support existing Data Center, especially in terms of managing the SANs, Virtual Infrastructures, power, cooling, cabling, and network.
  • Support all security related issues and work closely with different groups to resolve different vulnerabilities.
  • Support in ensuring security and upgrades are applied and kept up to date on desktops, laptop, and core servers
  • Support global IT team to implement and support the IT (Server, WAN, LAN and wireless) infrastructure and IT systems (production systems and others BPI related software)

QUALIFICATIONS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or closely related field.
  • 2 years of position related experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with server maintenance (Active directory, Backup, VMWare, etc)
  • Technical knowledge in PC, accessories maintenance, troubleshooting, MS Office 365 and other common desktop applications
  • Experience administering MS Office 365 (Office suite, Intune MDM, OneDrive, Teams and others
  • Experience with ticketing software such as Service Now.
  • Microsoft certifications a plus
  • Exposure to emerging end-user tools
  • Exposure in SANs, Virtual Infrastructures, power, cooling, cabling, and network
