We have an amazing opportunity for an experienced individual looking to advance their career as a Director of Information Technology. Must have a strong understanding of installing and maintaining the integrity of all technology and software support, along with a compassionate attitude towards the senior population (frail elderly). Reports directly to the President of ElderSpan Management, LLC.

ElderSpan Management LLC, founded in 1995, is a Wisconsin family-owned company with a culture and history built on taking remarkable care of its residents and employees. Many of our employees have worked with us for more than 5 years. ElderSpan manages senior living residence, specifically, campuses that provide a continuum of care through independent, assisted and memory care living options located in Wisconsin. Currently managing 600 units.

Office Location: The home base may be at any ElderSpan Management LLC location, with options to work remotely. Majority of work will be performed offsite in one of the healthcare facilities. However, 25% will likely be in the Madison office.

Pay: Hourly, with occasional overtime

Responsibilities:
Install, configure and manage ongoing usability of system hardware and software to our senior living residences. This includes but is not limited to all PC’s, phone systems, fax machines, copiers, pagers, nurse call systems, security/cameras, and other network functions. Supervise and mentor IT staff. Shared on-call responsibility. Overall, be an advocate for best practices in Information Technology.

Travel is required to the Elderspan Management LLC properties located in Madison, Dodgeville, Baraboo, Spring Green, Prairie du Sac, Platteville, and Lancaster.

Requirements:
  • Two-years experience working in IT
  • Knowledge/skills working with various hardware and software systems
  • Able to converse and write in English and follow written and verbal instructions in English
  • Reliable transportation with the ability to travel
  • Lift/carry 25 - 40 pounds
  • Lift/move/transfer 50 - 100 pounds
  • See long (>20 feet) and short (<20 inches) distances, judge depths and distinguish between colors
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Two-year college degree in computer – related field, preferred
