SCOPE & BASIC FUNCTION:

Woodstream IT is beginning a digital transformation to drive agility and resiliency within operational processes from order management to fulfillment to remittance, enabling growth and scalability. As part of this transformation, the business analyst (BA) will serve as a technology partner to the Manufacturing & Logistics teams. The BA will be responsible for analyzing the current state of our financial processes, identifying areas of process improvement leveraging technology, and developing future state processes. The BA will also support the implementation of technology solutions and enhancements to meet business goals. To ensure success as a business analyst, the BA should be able to perform benefit realization of Manufacturing & Logistics projects in partnership with these functional teams.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • IT Subject Matter Expert (SME) related to Manufacturing/Logistics
  • Develop, build, nurture relationships with the Manufacturing/Logistics (Manufacturing, Logistics, COF, Distribution, Finance)
  • Establish formal communication channels through which Manufacturing and Logistics can engage IT and IT can engage Manufacturing and Logistics
  • Partner with Manufacturing and Logistics teams to identify, define, and prioritize opportunities with IT requirements
  • Manage requests and projects identified through the right workflows and/or governance bodies
  • Identify and introduce process and technology opportunities
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to IT, Manufacturing, and Logistics processes, inclusive of As-Is processes, To-Be processes, and business requirements in support of process improvement
  • Develop and execute testing plans, protocols, and verification for IT, Manufacturing, and Logistics processes
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to IT and Manufacturing and Logistics processes
  • Develop testing protocols and testing verification for IT and Manufacturing and Logistics processes
  • Identify, execute, and sustain Manufacturing/Logistics project benefits
  • Serves as a point of escalation for Manufacturing and Logistics and IT to address technology and/or IT related issues
  • Engage in multiple projects by working closely with Manufacturing and Logistics team and IT personnel

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/OTHER SKILLS:

  • BS or BA in business, management, information systems
  • Highly motivated hands-on problem solver
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Strong technology skills and business acumen
  • Excellent writing skills, polished verbal communication skills
  • Experience implementing ERP systems
  • Experience with Oracle or SAP Enterprise Applications
  • Experience working with order fulfillment processes
  • Experience working with all levels of employees
  • Working knowledge of MS Office applications
  • Working knowledge of structured query language
  • Knowledge of change control process and procedures
  • Foundational understanding of IT workflow cycle
  • Desire to learn
