This is a technical role within The Rinks IT Team, based at The Rinks, reporting to the Manager of RINKS IT. The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure all The Rinks infrastructure is maintained and highly available 24/7. This position works in a team environment to address system issues.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain Active Directory, including adding/removing/auditing objects and users, ensuring high performance and health across all sites
  • Work with the Network Architect to ensure that the highest network performance is attained and confirm that any network changes affecting critical systems are analyzed and tested
  • Troubleshoot email and VPN access issues from workstations/remote systems/mobile devices
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity for all lines of business at the Honda Center/Anaheim Ducks/The Rinks, including but not limited to Food and Beverage, Team Store, and Ticket Sales
  • Keep track of Microsoft's latest patches, updates, and product knowledge
  • Advocate for new products or upgrades as they are released
  • Assist with troubleshooting issues with any other Microsoft products (CRM/Great Plains, etc.)
  • Some travel to other sites required
  • Supporting events in the evening and on weekends
  • Other duties as assigned
Skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Minimum of eight years working with Microsoft products/solutions
  • Excellent communications skills, written and oral
  • Ability to establish a good rapport with management, staff, and vendors
  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding time management and organizational skills, ability to prioritize and adapt to meet changing needs
  • Excellent follow-through skills
  • Able to complete projects promptly
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn
  • Troubleshooting ability, including skills to work through various steps to resolve issues logically
  • Extensive knowledge of the following Microsoft products/solutions:
  • Active Directory 2008 R2 and above
  • Office 365 Administration
  • Exchange
  • Windows Server 2008/2012
  • SQL Server 2008 R2/2014 - including high-availability technology
  • DFS
  • File/Print services
  • Server Update Services
  • Fiber channel switching
  • Storage Area Network (SAN) technology
  • Basic network knowledge and experience are required, and specific knowledge of the following network products would be beneficial:
  • Cisco routers and switches
  • Cisco Unified Call Manager
  • Extreme Switches
  • Juniper SSG and SRX firewalls and routers
  • FortiGate firewalls
  • Secondary knowledge in the following areas would be helpful:
  • Remote access solutions (VPN, DirectAccess)
  • IP TV, multicast, anycast
  • Cisco Call Center Express
  • VMware 5+
  • Veeam 8+
  • Systems Center Operation Manager 2012 (SCOM)
  • SharePoint 2013
  • Lync/Skype for Business (including Enterprise Voice)
