Irrigation Field Supervisor:

The Irrigation Supervisor is responsible for managing all irrigation field operations. They work directly with the Irrigation Department manager to coordinate the procurement and scheduling use of resources such as labor, equipment, and materials to ensure maximum use and completion of work within a budget, safety guidelines, and quality standards. In addition, Irrigation Supervisors guide and mentor field staff and assist them in carrying out their duties. This is an active field position that will require hands-on fieldwork. They are responsible for the overall success of the field staff working on programs or projects. They also often serve as the primary interface between the customer and the crew.

Job Type: Full-time

Hours of Operation: Monday- Friday

Compensation: $23.00 to $28.00/ hr.

Overtime is required on a needed basis

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Aggressively pursue new business opportunities

· Create bids for new Irrigation work using company bidding software

· Manage multiple Irrigation projects at the same time

· Manage the construction schedule of all your projects

· Manage relationships with current and future clients

· Review performance data with the department manager to look for improvements

· Monitor and make changes to staffing as needed for the success of the department

· Training new staff on company projects, processes irrigation technics, and practices

· Perform staff reviews

· Help maintain the bidding database, so product and production rates are accurate.

Skill Requirements:

· Minimum 2 years of experience in the Irrigation industry

· Excellent communication and direct management skills

· Good Technology skills (Must be able to email, text, and call)

· Good computer/ tablet skills (Email, bidding software, timesheets)

· Program Irrigation controllers using Phone/ Tablet Apps

· Team-building skills

· Experience managing field crews of a maximum of 6 direct report employees

· Ability to conduct staff safety trainings

· Knowledge of irrigation installation and troubleshooting required

· Knowledge of basic irrigation tools and equipment required

· Ability to manage product and tool inventory required

· Excellent staff management skills w/ HR Knowledge

· In-depth knowledge of landscape maintenance and landscape construction

· Strong Leadership skills

· Excellent organizational skills

· Excellent customer services skills

· Ability to speak, read and write English

· Spanish or Mandarin is a plus

· Excellent communications skills via email, text

· Excellent customer service required

· Must pass a drug test

· Must pass company Insurance MVR check run

Certification Requirements:

· OSHA 30 certification required in the first 90 days

· Qualified Water Efficient Landscape Certification (QWEL) required within 6 months

· Other industry certifications required ongoing basis
