Investment Banking Analyst

We’re looking for an Investment Banking Analyst to join our team. The Analyst will work closely with senior bankers and Associates to execute sell-side engagements. The role will support the Deal Team by leading project management, performing financial valuation and analysis with industry standard and proprietary models, and oversee deal execution on a range of advisory transactions. You’ll have the opportunity to work directly with experienced deal makers in a positive and collaborative work environment at a company with significant growth opportunities. You’ll meaningfully contribute to the transaction process by working directly with clients, entrepreneurs, and businesses in a diverse group of industries.

What You’ll Do:

  • Play an active role in transactions by creating investment recommendations and presentations (e.g., client pitches, investment memoranda, and valuations) for senior M&A bankers aiding decision making in sensitive transactions
  • Collaborate with Associates in researching and prospecting new M&A opportunities by conducting research, gathering information about target businesses, proactively identifying industry trends and competitive landscapes as well as contacting/engaging potential buyers/sellers throughout the process
  • Support senior M&A bankers in discussions and meetings with clients by leading client diligence and acting as a primary point contact within deal teams for client information to ensure seamless execution of M&A transactions
  • Prepare, manage, and coordinate virtual data rooms and client/third-party due diligence

What You’ll Need:

  • 1 – 3 years of professional experience in investment banking, private equity, or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field. An equivalent of the same in working experience is also acceptable for the position.
  • Strong financial analysis skills, intermediate accounting skills, and the ability to develop financial models and valuation analysis for potential transactions.
  • Strong ability to interpret data, financial statements and projections, M&A transaction data, and public comparable models

This is a full-time hybrid role based in Rochelle Park, N.J.
