Job Overview

We are currently seeking an Inventory Planning Specialist to join our dynamic Equipment Services Parts Warehouse team!

This role will be a blend of remote work and being located at the South Charlotte facility location near Carowinds. Work schedule: Primarily Monday-Friday, day shift. This role could have some occasional weekend support required (possibly 1 weekend a month).

The Equipment Services Inventory Planning Specialist is responsible for driving supply chain excellence in the form of increased customer service rates, reduced finished goods inventory levels, and efficient management of working capital. This position owns the end-to-end process of repair parts inventory management including forecast planning, replenishment, and stock availability for CCCI Equipment Services. The Equipment Services Inventory Planning Specialist maintains statistical models for fact-based decision making, generates actionable improvement plans for key performance metrics, and implements strategies to improve inventory management through collaboration and influence.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Monitors a portion of over $20MM in spare parts inventory
  • Optimizes inventory levels using ABC classification to design appropriate inventory levels, leading to the delivery of required customer service (fill rates) while minimizing, rebalancing working capital needs and excess obsolete inventory needs.
  • Monitors, analyzes, and reports on departmental key business indicators and process compliance and makes recommendations for improvement.
  • Assists Parts Manager in setting policies, standard operating procedures, and processes for parts department and Equipment Services Field Team as it relates to parts procurement and inventory management.
  • Ensures data integrity within parts systems through review of new material creation, pricing, sourcing, and cataloging of master data.
  • Collaborates with suppliers to ensure supply chain excellence is achieved through inventory reviews and forecasting development.
  • Manages remanufactured parts inventories to ensure accuracy and that proper inventory levels are maintained with suppliers.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally to coordinate efforts around maintaining and improving processes to achieve business goals.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Knowledge of SAP and/or SalesForce
  • Advanced skill level with Microsoft Excel
  • 1-3 years data analytics 1 experience
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Collaboration skills
  • Self-motivated; ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Primary office environment within a warehouse setting.
  • Occasional warehouse work environment required.
  • Periodic travel is possible.
  • Lifting of materials up to 50lbs possible.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2 years of education beyond high school in college or technical school
  • Knowledge acquired through 1 to up to 3 years of work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 years of education beyond high school in college or technical school in Business Management, Analytics, or Engineering (Supply Chain, Logistics)
    • 3 years demand forecasting work experience
