We are currently adding an Interventional Medical Technician to our growing team!

Position Summary:

The primary role of the full-time Interventional Medical Technician is to oversee the Spravato and Ketamine clinical services as well as TMS clinical services. The individual in this position will be expected to provide exceptional customer service to make sure the highest quality work standards are achieved and maintained according to practice policies and procedures. Must be compassionate, dependable, organized, have good communication skills, multitask, and work well with other team members. We provide the highest quality of mental health care to patients at all phases of their mental wellness journey.

About the Role:

  • Provide Spravato and Ketamine treatment according to specific physician protocols
  • Monitoring of patients during treatment including collecting vital signs, administration of rating scales, documentation, and filling out Spravato log as necessary
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with patient comfort throughout treatment
  • Possess basic clinical assessment skills to identify real or potential adverse events during treatment where treatment should be interrupted or terminated
  • Maintain patient safety by wearing personal protective equipment as required
  • Communicate concerns to interventional staff, clinical director, or physician when necessary
  • Follows company policies and procedures as well as adhering to state and/or federal regulations
  • Perform additional duties as needed, up to and including the willingness to be flexible by possibly traveling to other facilities
  • Investigate and communicate insurance coverage and verification issues, resubmit prior authorizations as needed, ccommunicate status of patients awaiting treatment with provider
  • Enroll patients in REMs, submit Verification of Benefits and Prior Authorizations
  • Continued documentation for Spravato REMs for each patient and maintenance of Spravato log
  • Order of medications and communicate with prescribers when new prescriptions are needed
  • Ensure medication has arrived and is correct dose for patient
  • Answer patient phone calls and adjust the schedule to patient needs as necessary
  • Scheduling of patients at appropriate interval, continued communication with prescribers regarding treatment plan and frequency of appointments
  • Ensure office space cleanliness, including treatment rooms, waiting for areas, front desk and bathrooms
  • Setting up the TMS medical device and monitoring all aspects of the treatment sessions for patient comfort and treatment accuracy

About You:

  • 1 or more years of medical office experience (Preferred)
  • Medical Assistant (Preferred)
  • Knowledge of medical authorizations (Preferred)
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred)
  • Completion of TMS Certification during training
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Understand and comply with HIPAA
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work well with a team
  • CPR Certified (or willing to get certification)
