Position Summary:


Prepares inpatient admission charts for the Rehabilitation Admission Nurse Coordinator’s review. Assist Rehabilitation Admission Nurse with flow of admission process. Assists Case Manager with follow up of insurance as needed. Performs clerical duties including spreadsheets, typing and entering data into UDS, as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Work at CRT for long periods. Remain clam under stressful situations (crowded area and/or frequent interruptions). Sit for prolonged period; must be able to communicate verbally. Must possess auditory and visual acuity to accurately perform job functions. Ability to hear and orally communicate by phone and in person.

Required Education, Licenses, and Certifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED


Preferred Education, Licenses, and Certifications:
  • Some College Business Administration
  • Some College Computer Systems Technology

Other Information:

High school graduate with emphasis in business, computer, and accounting training required. Additional college courses in business administration and/or computer technology preferred. Health insurance benefits administration or related insurance knowledge preferred. Must have an understanding of medical terminology. PC experience must include Microsoft Windows. Must pass a Windows aptitude test and be able to develop and maintain spreadsheets. Effective verbal and written communication abilities. Must be able to exercise independent judgment and routine manners and assume responsibility. Must have excellent organizational skills. Must be able to multi-task. Must be able to pass FIM credentialing within 1 month of employment. Excellent guest relations skills. Must be flexible in accepting a variety of work assignments.
