Mission of this role is primarily assisting the Quality Assurance AV Engineer in the Configuration, setup, and troubleshooting of commercial audio-visual equipment, including Audio DSP s (Biamp, BSS), Control Systems (Crestron/AMX), IP-based video routing (Wyrestorm, Aurora), and peripherals such as fixed/PTZ cameras.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Excellent customer relationship and troubleshooting skills, perform onsite installation and integration of FTR products
  • Audio-Visual configuration and setup including video conferencing and configuring commercial audio/visual equipment and systems i.e., digital audio (Biamp/BSS), control (Crestron/AMX), video routing & image processing
  • Develop and maintain knowledge base articles and technical documents
  • Install and configure software as required
  • Install, mount and provision items including but not limited to speakers, microphones, connection plates, flat screen displays, video cameras, and equipment racks
  • Provide regular progress updates for current and outstanding incidents or project tasks
  • Maintain schedule set by Technical Lead to complete installs on time for go-live
  • Provide troubleshooting assistance for audio systems (both analog and digital), control systems, video IP systems, and various wireless systems
  • Terminate and test audio and network connectors
  • Other duties as required and assigned

Experience/Qualifications/Skills

  • Audio, AV and/or digital audio skills
  • Some understanding of Installed Sound environments and the role played by equipment such as audio DSPs, flat screen displays, touch panels/touchscreens, control systems (Crestron/AMX), and ethernet switches
  • Experience with building racks
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical problems methodically
  • Excellent customer service skills, ability to work across teams and with the client
  • Ability to ensure consistency of standards/procedures & promote efficiencies
  • Outstanding commitment to customer service and internal & external customer experience
  • Capability to build strong and effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders including vendors
  • An ability to always maintain a positive outlook and working attitude
  • Demonstrated ability to deal with sensitive and classified data
  • Consistently able to lift 50-lbs unassisted
  • Work site likely will require ability to navigate stairs, ladders, and confined spaces
