Holland America/Princess-Alaska Yukon Land Operations, the largest tour operator in the Great Land is looking for an energetic and fun Housekeeping Inspector to join our Fairbanks Westmark Hotel and Conference Center Housekeeping team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Housekeeping Manager in managing all facets of the housekeeping department while ensuring high levels of guest service and satisfaction.
  • Daily inspection of guest rooms for quality assurance an energetic
  • Performs a combination of tasks to maintain, clean and sanitize hotel guestrooms and common areas in the hotel in accordance with Company policy and procedures.
  • Applies knowledge of company policies and procedures, including all health and safety requirements, to all aspects of the housekeeping operations.
  • Participates in the training, coaching, and recognition of all employees in the Housekeeping Department..

Requirements:

  • Minimum one year of experience in a supervisory position related to the hospitality industry preferred inspector experience.
  • Dedicated commitment to a diverse, equitable and inclusive work environment is required.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment background check.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to prioritize work, maintain attention to time constraints, while working in a team or group environment.
  • Ability to organize work, meet deadlines, maintain attention to detail and accuracy, supervise and manage staff and guests requests/inquires.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and external influences.
  • Ability to work with all levels of management, employees and guests with sensitivity, tact and diplomacy.
  • Demonstrate an ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to communicate, coordinate and collaborate with multiple departments, management, and staff.
  • Ability to support and comply with company policies, procedures and guidelines including all company health and safety standards.
  • Ability to stand/walk/work on feet for minimum of 8 hours per day.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs/23kgs. Some heavy lifting in a team environment may be required.
