SUMMARY: The Inside Sales Manager is responsible for the development, management, and expansion of an assigned sales account base. The primary objective is to provide value to the customers in the assigned sales territory while achieving profitable growth. Individuals in this position build relationships with global partners both externally, at the customer level and internally with teammates. Inside Sales Manager embody a positive attitude, are adaptable, and make sound business decisions; they are eager to learn, open to taking on new challenges, and strive for continuous development. Inside Sales Manager leverages strong communication skills to engage their customers across phone, video conference calls, and email channels. The Inside Sales Manager will utilize key technology platforms to proactively plan, manage, and track customer engagements, opportunities, and campaigns.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Includes the following; other duties may be assigned in a progressive manner.

  • Deliver profitable revenue growth and expand relationships at targeted accounts within the assigned sales territory.
  • Support the creation of an effective territory growth and management plan to ensure appropriate customer coverage and time for new business development activity.
  • Acquire new customers or warm lead follow-up including the reactivation of lost customers.
  • Meet assigned Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s), including new opportunity development.
  • Prompt follow up and engagement with customers and internal partners who include, but are not limited to, customer service, program management and engineering to keep projects progressing.
  • Approach customers with a high degree of professionalism.
  • Maintain accurate customer information within internal systems such as company Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM).
  • Build and leverage business relationships across the Marketing organization, greater Shaw Development, suppliers, and strategic partners.
  • Work both directly and cooperatively with channel partners to close business based on customer's purchasing requirements.
  • Provide feedback for the creation and execution of appropriate marketing and sales promotions.
  • Travel as needed to maintain and grow assigned accounts.
  • Serve as the primary company contact for assigned accounts.
  • May periodically serve as a company representative in market and customer-facing events, such as tradeshows, key customer visits and other promotional settings.
  • Contributes to the company's planning of both long- and short-term business objectives. This will include periodic and annual sales forecasts as well as the setting of sales goals.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: No direct reports.

QUALITY RESPONSIBILITIES: In daily work, a team member is responsible to maintain or exceed the degree of excellence requested by the internal and external customers of this department. This includes following established policies, following ISO 9001 & 14001 policies, business practices, and work instructions, using problem solving techniques to solve root causes of problems, and viewing quality as customer satisfaction. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Experience in field / related field, and/or a combination of education and experience. Knowledge of the agricultural, construction and heavy on-off road truck markets. Previous experiences in cross-functional teamwork and working in an environment translating customer needs into technology solutions.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: None required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulation. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and proposals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and customers.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited firm facts are in place. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
