ANCHOR PACKAGING is a growing manufacturer of disposable food service packaging located in Northeastern Arkansas is looking for experienced INLINE DIVISION MANAGER for the Main Anchor Packaging Plant in Paragould, Arkansas. Anchor Packaging operates 4 locations in NE Arkansas. The NE Arkansas area offers a wide variety of activities to residents in a medium-size college community as well as in a communities which are more rural, all are within a short drive of large metro areas. Summary:
Manages all activities related to operations of Inline Division products by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities
include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


Develops and maintains manufacturing operations business plans to include all program requirements, labor hours, cycle, production costs, and image.


Directs and manages Inline operations for production, quality, and safety operations.


Establishes and executes Continuous Improvement activities.


Maintains professional and effective working relationships with Quality, Maintenance, Materials, Safety, Human Resources, and Engineering.


Provides guidance to the development of a manufacturing process plan, including personnel requirements, material needs, subcontract requirements, facility needs, and tooling and equipment needs.


Ensures all established costs, quality, and delivery commitments are met.


Coordinates manufacturing activities with all other functions of the organization and suppliers to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.


Reviews production and operating reports and directs the resolution of operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.


Performs administrative activities associated with the effective management of shop operations, including compiling, storing, and retrieving production data for reports.


Determines responsibilities of assigned organization and staff positions to accomplish business objectives.


Trains and ensures all assigned employees are aware of and comply with company, government, and customer policies, procedures, and regulations.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in related field and five years production management experience in a manufacturing environment, or 10 years of experience as production manager or higher in a manufacturing environment. Technical degree with previous experience/background in plastics manufacturing and packaging, i.e., PVC, PET PolyProp, etc. highly preferred.


Demonstrates strong leadership qualities and possesses proven skills in encouraging others; leads by example.


Knowledge and demonstrated use of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement Principles.


Working knowledge of operational profit/loss functions, budgets and financial statements.


Background with manufacturing methods, process improvement programs and procedures required.


Background in thermoforming and/or extrusion preferred with food packaging experience a plus.


Language Ability:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.


Math Ability:

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.


Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.


Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software; Inventory software and Manufacturing software.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Manages at least four subordinate supervisors who supervise 60+ employees per team. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
