THIS POSITION REQUIRES EXPERIENCE IN THE SPIRAL CONVEYORS INDUSTRY

TERRITORY IS MID-ATLANTIC AND NORTH EAST STATES

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION – TECHNICAL SALES:


  • Ability to generate profitable growth by developing and implementing project based sales for customers within the dry and wet food industry.
  • Build and maintain relationship with key decision makers at the plant level.
  • Maintain responsibility for turnover objectives at the accounts, as well as for reaching targets as defined and agreed in the account plan.
  • Monitor and report the success of the accounts, propose corrective actions.
  • Technical and commercial management of projects.
  • Overall project management of identified key projects through high-level technical and commercial skills.
  • Provide industry specific market input and application expertise.
  • Seek understanding of competition activities.
  • Understand specific customer needs and shares with ASM and team members.
  • Understand and share the target customer dynamics and decision-making processes.
  • Apply pricing strategy.
  • Broad functional experience in areas of strategic planning, sales, marketing, market development, planning, and promotions.
  • Attend training seminars in North America and Europe to develop knowledge of new products and applications.
  • Appraise competitive product advantages and disadvantages.
  • Any other duties as assigned.
  • Must be willing to work occasional weekends and/or holidays based on project timeframe of customer.

COMPETENCIES/SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE OR TRAINING PREFERRED:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Preferred - Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Technical school graduate will be considered
  • Preferred - 3 years’ experience in technical sales and/or field service of industrial equipment and/or components directly to End Users and OEM’s.
  • Preferred - Competency with technical details relevant to conveying systems within the food processing industry.
  • Required – Ability to read, write, speak and comprehend English
  • Preferred – High Competency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CRM / ERP Applications

  • Ability to climb ladders, steps and stairs to effectively audit and troubleshoot food production equipment and components while exposed to short-term temperatures from -40F to 120F.
