Industrial Mechanic Job Duties Include:

  • Adhering to work hours as required by this position.
  • Following and enforcing company rules, policies and procedures.
  • Following and enforcing all safety measures as required by the company.
  • Communicating directly with the production manager to coordinate maintenance and repair machinery.
  • Maintain all tools and parts needed to repair production equipment.
  • Repair equipment as needed in factory.
  • Maintain Preventive Maintenance program and report all work to the Maintenance manager.
  • Perform diverse duties related to installation and maintenance of production machinery and equipment.
  • Perform mechanical skills including but not limited to electrical, pneumatic, plumbing and fabrication. Use a variety of power tools and material handling equipment in performing duties.
  • Complete welding and electrical jobs as required by the company.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments on equipment and report any unusual situation to management.
  • Comply with GMP and safety regulations.
  • Maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Maintain accurate records.
  • Perform other duties as requested by supervisor or management.

Job Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3 years of experience preferred
  • Must provide own tools
  • Welding and electrical experience helpful
  • Must have the ability to diagnose problems and correct in a timely manner
  • Ability to lift 60 lbs.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints a plus
  • Must be able to stand continuously for extended periods of time
  • Must be capable of making repetitive arm and hand motions
  • Legible handwriting
