Position: HR Manager

Reports to: General Manager

Job Summary: The Human Resources Manager leads and directs the routine functions of the Human Resources Department including hiring staff, administering pay, benefits, leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.

Essential Functions:

  • Complete new hire paperwork, including company forms, I-9, W-4 & other required forms
  • Handle confidential information pertaining to company, its entities and employees
  • Process accurate payrolls, biweekly
  • Process payroll deductions including: medical, dental child support payments, garnishments, etc
  • Maintain a strong relationship between employees & upper management
  • Process HR paperwork including, employee complaints, wage increases, terminations and miscellaneous documentation
  • Manage and provide intervention and support for complex situations including discrimination, harassment, employee violence, etc.
  • Process Worker Compensation claims
  • Complete EEOC reports, multiple site reports and any other mandatory reports
  • Process 90-day reviews, pay increase & status changes
  • Process FMLA and PFL paperwork
  • Assist with orientations for new hires
  • Process E-Verify for all new hires to comply with USCIS regulations
  • Assist with coach and counseling of employees
  • Investigate, intervene & resolve employee related issues that require HR attention
  • Train management regarding policies, procedures, employee relations & other
  • Work with upper management to create employee incentive programs
  • Provide guidance to General Manager in regard to disciplinary issues and changes to Employee Handbook
  • Explain & process employee benefits including dental insurance, medical insurance, vacation days, sick days, bereavement time and other benefits
  • Process benefits cancellations
  • Process open enrollments
  • Review and approve benefits billing including: medical, dental & life insurance
  • Process employment verifications
  • Process unemployment claims & represents company when an appeal is made by an employee
  • Provide employees with reports including payroll reports, verification of employment
  • Act as a liaison between team leaders and its team members for all functional areas including benefits, payroll, legal inquiries, seasonal and permanent staffing
  • Assist with posting job ads
  • Stay up to date with employee labor laws posters and changes
  • Administer timekeeping system
  • Attend department meetings to educate employees on company policies & employee incentive programs
  • Promote a team environment by maintaining a strong relationship with employees & by encouraging strategies to work together & resolve issues
  • Obtain working knowledge of the PMS and POS operating systems
  • Support operations as needed
  • Any other task as directed by GM or Director of Operations

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or similar work experience required
  • 5+ Years of experience in progressively responsible human resource roles

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
