All City Plumbing Drain Cleaning & Rooter, we are a rapidly growing award-winning, highly rated Plumbing Company servicing, Riverside County, San Bernardino County, Orange County, and some of Los Angeles County. We are a reputable, honest, and hardworking company that takes pride in delivering great service. We currently have two locations and are working on getting our third shop open. We are looking for two Human Resources Generalists, as we are open 7 days a week 7 am - 8 pm would like to have one onsite 90% of the time. This position will be full-time and/ or part-time.

Duties/Responsibilities:

The HR Generalist will be responsible for completing a variety of tasks to support the daily operations of the HR department. Duties include comparing HR laws to current policies and procedures, contacting our employment lawyer when drafting templates for HR documents, and working with other members of the department to oversee the hiring and onboarding process for company employees. Administers policies relating to all phases of human resources activity by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Assists in maintaining knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
- Assists in recruiting, interviewing, testing, and selecting employees to fill vacant positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Conducts or acquires background checks and employment eligibility verifications.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Assists with tasks related to new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
-Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
- Assists in the administration of performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within the organization.
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Investigates workplace accidents and prepares reports for the insurance carrier.
- Conducts wage surveys within the labor market to determine competitive wage rates.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources
  • Minimum of 4 years of HR experience
  • Strong knowledge of HR policies and practices
  • Experience with shrm & cal osha policies
  • Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems, such as indeed, zip recuriterr
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • handling sensitive information
  • responding immediately to emergency situations
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Language Skills:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have strong knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word. Paychex experience is desired, but not required.
