Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment, employment verifications, background checks, reference checks and new employee onboarding.
  • Source candidates from job boards, resume databases, professional networks, industry events, plus local and trade schools.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and other regulatory regulations concerning Human Resources related employment.
  • Develop, maintain and update an Applicant Tracking System.
  • Verify compliance, auditing records, and maintaining employee files.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
  • Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
  • Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
  • Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
  • Provides clerical support to the HR department.
  • May assist with payroll functions including processing, answering employee questions, fixing processing errors, and distributing checks.
  • Acts as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors, which may include health, disability, and retirement plan providers.
  • Conducts or assists with new hire orientation.
  • Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree in Business related field preferred
  • Prior Human Resources experience required.
  • Working knowledge of basic Human Resources principles, practices and compliance regulations.
  • Reliable, organized and ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to coordinate and manage multiple projects simultaneously and obtain cooperation from others to see projects through to completion.
  • Effective oral and written communication skill and ability to make good judgement calls regarding what to communicate, how much, to whom and when.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge in use of online hiring and social media platforms for recruiting.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, ADP, and similar computer applications.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 4 hour shift

  • Uxbridge, MA 01569: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
