Job Title:
Human Resources Associate, Credentialing and Certification

Position Summary:

A member of the Human Resources team, this position is responsible for evaluating, analyzing, and coordinating all aspects of the credentialing, recredentialing, and certification process for the Allegheny Intermediate Unit.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the clearance record retention process for all AIU employees, volunteers, student teachers, contractors and subcontractors.
  • Maintains clearance expiration dates in Oracle.
  • Manages the non-employee clearance tracking database.
  • Periodically audits records to ensure compliance.
  • Assists employees through the PDE certification process.
  • Provides consultation and interpretive guidance to administrators by giving advice on all certification requirements.
  • Completes and submits emergency permit application as required.
  • Enters and maintains employee certification information in Oracle.
  • Issues temporary professional and professional employee contracts to employees.
  • Issues reasonable assurance letters annually.
  • Participates in the development and implementation of process improvements for the system-wide credentialing process; prepares reports and scoring required by regulatory and accrediting agencies, policies and standards.


Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent high school certification
  • Three years of relevant work experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency with current Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an emphasis on delivering outstanding customer service to all stakeholders.
  • Solid time management skills allowing management of multiple events while remaining highly organized and accurate.
  • Ability to work efficiently alone and in a team environment while adapting to changing priorities and managerial styles.
  • Ability to use discretion and independent judgment.
  • Previous calendar management experience is preferred.
