Provides main receptionist duties for Human Resources Department including heavy phone call volume and walk-in visitors. Performs clerical duties and special projects as assigned. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinates onboarding employment process for all new hires. This process includes, but is not limited to,
    completion of reference checks, certification and licensure verification (when applicable), providing
    Occupational Health documentation, managing Orientation Schedule and requesting criminal record history
    and driver's license history (when applicable).
  • Completes Human Resources Department New Hire Checklist to ensure that all new hire paperwork is ready for final authorization.
  • Enters new hire data into Human Resources Information System(s).
  • Issues new ID badges for employees, contracts and credentialed staff.
  • Performs primary receptionist duties for the Human Resources Department including receiving visitors, applicants, answering employee questions, etc.
  • Executes personnel updates such as name, address and emergency contact changes, tax and direct deposit forms and enters into Human Resources Information System(s).
  • Enters credential information into Human Resources Information System(s) for tracking of licenses/certifications, reviews weekly for pending expirations, consults primary source for renewals and
    manages communication with employee, Manager/Director and Vice President regarding unresolved expirations.
  • Assists with 90-day employee review process and administration of bi-annual performance evaluation process.
  • Assists Volunteer Coordinator in onboarding new volunteers.
  • Responsible for onboarding contract staff to ensure process is complete and in compliance.
  • Manages all I-9 forms.
  • Completes E-Verify and North Carolina New Hire reporting for all new employees.
  • Responsible for maintaining thorough and complete personnel files. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to, filing, scanning and assembling all new employee personnel files, ensuring documentation of required certifications and licenses meet compliance requirements and purging and scanning terminated employee files after five (5) years inactive.
  • Completes title changes and transfers in the Human Resources Information System(s). Also, prepares new badges and completes new job descriptions, etc.
  • Completes written and verbal employment verifications.
  • Sends flowers on behalf of Northern Regional Hospital.
  • Orders supplies.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Read, write, and speak English clearly
  • High School Diploma
  • Microsoft Office software applications experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • UKG / Kronos experience
  • Associate Degree
  • Two years of experience in benefits, payroll and/or human resources
