This is a Human Resources Assistant position needed to support our Human Resources team at our growing site of Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Parts Inc. location in Johnstown, PA.

This position will lead to the success of our business and our HR Team. In this role you will have the advantage of a 4 day work week Monday through Thursday, 10 hours per day. The position will support our Human Resources Associate Manager and our HR Business Partner.

In this role you will work a variety of projects and tasks creating an opportunity to work across multiple facets of our Human Resources department and our site business operations.

Some of the responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following areas:

Provide general customer service, data management, and administrative support to Human solutions that are efficient, effective, and flexible. Support Disciplinary Review process, including coordinating agenda, collecting data records to prepare documentation for reviews, as well as ensuring the discipline documentation is in the database.

Provide support to our training team by: ensuring training material is ordered and available for all classes in a timely manner, setting up and cleaning up training rooms before and after the classes are scheduled and entering training attendance records in our system. You may also ensure training attendees are confirmed to attend the classes in advance of the class by coordinating directly with employees or their leadership team.

You may Support workforce reduction process from administrative standpoint, such as pulling needed data, partnering with HRBP, and uploading results and other documentation, as needed, to the tool.

Serves as first point of contact for employee reviews of personnel files. Support interview document preparation, primarily for leadership positions. Assist with document preparation for organizational changes (i.e. mass JARs, team table updates, position number changes, etc.).

On-Boarding:
Coordinates the logistics of new employee orientation for new hires, rehires, transfers, and recalls, and contingent non-employees. Ensures all On-Boarding information is complete. Addresses inquiries, makes corrections, and provides guidance regarding On- and Off-Boarding systems and tools such as I-9 E Verify and other internal system.

Off-Boarding:
Coordinates and assists employees and leaders with Off-Boarding employees transferring or terminating, including contingent non-employees.

HR Services:
Conducts self-audit of on-call purchase orders and I-9 E Verifies submittals. Complete unemployment insurance (UI) mass claims, and submit and respond to all other unemployment claims, coordinating with Labor Relations and/or HRBPs as appropriate.

Return to Work Administration:
Performs a variety of general personnel/clerical tasks in such areas as employee records. Provide information to authorized persons and/or agencies. Provides information to all levels of employees regarding LOA- and FMLA-related policies and procedures. Ensure facility and system access is restored after a leave of absence.

Employee Reimbursements:
Ensure timely compliance and appropriate processing of employee reimbursements that are aligned with our collective bargaining agreement.

Project Coordination:
Lead site and community relation projects for special events.
Basic Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience working in a Human Resources department providing support for the administration of HR processes.
  • Proficient use of MS Office Outlook, MS Word, MS Power Point, and MS Excel.
  • Ability to manipulate excel with the use of Pivot Tables, Vertical Look-ups (V-Lookup), and write basic formulas.
  • Experiences in HR Systems
Desired Skills:
  • An Associate or higher level degree in business administration or Human Resources
  • Prior human resources experience in a union environment
  • Peoplesoft experience
  • Success Factors experience
  • BrassRing applicant tracking system
