Hilton Pearl River, a full-service luxury hotel located 25 minutes from New York City in Rockland County (NY) and bordering Bergen County (NJ), is seeking an organized, energetic, hands-on professional to join our exceptional team as an hourly, entry level Human Resources Assistant.

We have a great opportunity for an entry level hourly candidate in our Human Resources Department. The Human Resources Assistant will assist the Director, Human Resources in the overall daily activities of the Human Resources department and provide staff support in employment, training, benefits, payroll, and employee relations.

Specific Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability

  • Working experience with ADP Workforce Now - greatly desired
  • Current working experience in a Human Resources and Payroll environment
  • Excellent organizational skills - detail oriented - A MUST
  • Effective oral and written communication skills when dealing with a diverse staff
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Able to demonstrate a high level of confidentiality
  • A winning personality
  • Be able to "think outside the box" and assist in making improvements and changes
  • Excellent all-around computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
  • Hotel experience desired
  • The ability to work well under pressure and complete all duties accurately
  • Must be able to work at a fast pace and switch gears at moment's notice
  • Must be able to work holidays if payroll timing dictates that necessity

Education

  • High school education

Experience

  • 0-1 years experience working as a Human Resources Assistant
  • ADP Workforce Now experience a plus or any other payroll platform
  • Experience in hospitality industry preferred
  • Bi-lingual preferred

Requirement

  • Full time, 40 hours weekly – Monday thru Friday 8:30AM – 5:00PM
