Duties:
- Coordination of applicant and new hire screenings and on-boarding appointments
- Assist with set-up and orientation of new employees
- Enter employee data and run reports in Paycom and other HR databases
- Maintain personnel files and records, keeping all departmental lists up to date
- Fill out HR-related paperwork for employees (DMH Systems Access enrollment/renewals, Employment Verification letters, PSLF forms, etc.)
- General filing, faxing, scanning, copying
- Process manual checks for Payroll department, as needed
- Assist with Administration department (distribute incoming mail, prepare outgoing mail, transfer calls, etc.), as needed
- Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
- At least two (2) years Human Resources experience and a working knowledge of Human Resources policies and procedures, including the ability to answer general Human Resources questions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
- Possess effective written and oral communication skills
- Valid California Driver’s License and current automobile insurance prior to start date
- Must have received both Covid-19 vaccination doses, as well as the first booster
Education:
- High School Graduate
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health records paperwork
- Experience working in non-profit and/or mental health fields
- Bilingual in Spanish-English
