POSITION SUMMARY

The Human Resources Coordinator will provide HR support for retail District Managers, Site Managers and employees within the Region. This support includes recruiting, hiring and onboarding, training, communicating process changes, answering HR and pay related employee questions as well as compiling and reporting employee data.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Recruiting talent

o Develop engaging recruiting materials

o Assist with recruiting in difficult to hire markets; coordinate with local schools and community organizations to source candidates

o Set up and attend local recruiting/hiring events such as job fairs

  • Onboarding employees

o Assist with onboarding a high volume of new employees in our applicant tracking system (ADP Workforce Now)

o Track completion of onboarding activities for all new hires. Follow up with site managers and new hires when needed to ensure successful completion of the process.

o Conduct new hire orientation sessions

  • Assist with coordinating and conducting variety of training sessions
  • Conduct exit interviews with separating employees. Compile information on trends and develop action plans to address issues.
  • Compile and report employee data and information
  • Respond to basic employee inquiries regarding policies and procedures, benefits, pay, safety, etc.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state and local employment laws; identify and escalate risks
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR systems and practices in the region and the company


ESSENTIAL SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2+ years of Human Resources experience including recruiting and onboarding. Experience in retail and/or the food and beverage industry is a real plus.
  • Strong communication; written, verbal and listening skills. Experience establishing and maintaining relationships within a team.
  • Experience creating employee data reports by assembling, preparing, and analyzing data.
  • Expert at multi-tasking with continued attention to detail
  • Expert in time management such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates in a very fast paced environment.
  • Ability to handle confidential and/or sensitive information with discretion..
  • Basic knowledge of employment laws including ADA, FLSA, FMLA
  • Proficient in technology; applicant tracking systems, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
