STP Nuclear Operating Company (STP) is one of the largest nuclear power plants nationwide, and is an industry leader in safety, reliability and efficiency, STP’s twin pressurized water reactors produce 2,700 megawatts of electricity, enough to serve more than one million homes in Austin, Corpus Christi, Houston, San Antonio and surrounding areas in south central Texas. The plant is located about 90 miles southwest of Houston on a 12,200-acre site near Bay City in Matagorda County.

SUMMARY
The Labor and HR Business Partner is responsible for the administration of Employee and Labor Relations, to include the delivery of human resources services
that support the overall business and people strategy. Responsible for overseeing employee and labor relations and the implementation of HR programs and
initiatives for the plant.

EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Human Resources Management. Without a degree, 5 years' experience in the areas of Employee and
Labor Relations. (Required)

Master's degree in in Business Administration or Human Resources Management is the equivalent of one year of experience. (Preferred)

EXPERIENCE
5 Years + experience in the areas of Employee and Labor Relations. (Required)

LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS
Senior Professional in Human Resources (Preferred)

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
SR HR BUSINESS PARTNER - LABOR RELATIONS:
Provides staff level expertise in Labor Relations.
Ensure compliance regarding Company policies, procedures, and all current related federal/state employment and labor law, partnering with Senior Counsel and Human Resources Senior Leadership for support when applicable in order to eliminate risk.
Participate in and lead collective bargaining negotiations and labor/management meetings; administers and interprets collective bargaining agreements, reviews and prepares material for arbitrations proceedings; prepares cost estimates and analyses of union.
Prepare, interpret, process, and educate supervision and other employees around changes to collective bargaining agreements and contract negotiations.
Provide guidance regarding contract and non-contract issues, including but not limited to discipline, grievance and arbitration resolution, employment terms and conditions, problem-solving, contract administration, and negotiations.
Support management of Grievance and Discipline requests requiring higher level knowledge and authority and/or interaction.
Anticipates, identifies, assesses, and monitors business and labor relations dev, trends, data and identified issues likely to impact the business in order to develop solutions and recommend strategies to minimize risk or take advantage of opportunities.
Advises management and participates in dealing with state and federal agencies such as, NLRB, Department of Labor, EEOC, and KHRC which regulate or significantly impact the employee/employer relationship within the Company

Motivates team personnel to support team and station goals.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

Accept outage position as needed.

Ability to comprehend, interpret and communicate laws, regulations, policies and procedures.
Ability to comprehend company goals and objectives maintaining sensitivity to emerging issues which may impact the company.
Excellent analytical and forecasting skills.
Ability to think strategically.
Proficient in the use of MS Office applications such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Comfortable working with all levels of management and non-BU and BU employees
This position requires a satisfactory work record including good attendance.
Strong working knowledge of HR Policies, procedures, government regulations and labor laws.
Ability to organize, set priorities, complete multiple projects within established deadlines and work with a sense of urgency while maintaining a strong
attention to detail.
Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion; maintain confidentiality.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Overtime and alternate work schedules as needed.
Subject to callouts twenty-four hours per day seven days per week.
Normal office environment. Some visits into the plant.
Some work is stressful and involves working with people in strained situations.
Overtime as required and alternate work schedule as needed.
Travel may be required.
