Role Summary:
Join our team as a Houseperson for The Lodge at Blue Sky, serving the needs of the business, our guests, and our colleagues by providing exceptional service to guests by carefully, discreetly, and seamlessly ensuring that guest and Blue Sky expectations are met as regards to in-room supplies, orderliness, deliveries, special service requests, and care of the personal property.

$1,000 sign-on bonus for FT team members, if hired.
$500 sign-on bonus for PT team members, if hired.

Should you leave before completing one-year with the Company, you will be responsible for paying back the prorated amount left from your sign-on bonus.

Core Responsibilities:
Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done! Within the Auberge family, our people always find new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their team-mates. Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are:

    • Communicate courteously and professionally with guests to assess needs, operate discreetly to fulfill all supply requests.
    • Anticipate guest needs.
    • Load and unload linens and supplies in and out of the cart, following housekeeping standard operating procedures.
    • Transport linens and supplies from housekeeping storage to guest rooms, upon request.
    • Support room attendants with additional supply need and remain available to incoming radio requests.
    • Organize and stock all incoming linens in designated areas and shelves.
    • Be familiar with all hotel services/ features and local attractions in Summit County in order to respond to guest inquiries accurately.
    • Assist Banquet servers with special guest requests and must be able to work as a Banquet server in case of absenteeism.
    • Set an example for other service staff regarding service standards, side work, productivity and professionalism in the workplace,
    • Comply with all departmental policies/service procedures.
    • Complete all opening/closing side duties as assigned.
    • Maintain and complete all tasks assigned by management.
    • Assist in switching beds in and out of guest rooms, including king beds, twin beds, rollaway and cribs.

Skills and Abilities:

    • Ability to anticipate and understand guest service needs remaining calm and courteous.
    • Ability to communicate in English.
    • Ability to drive a golf cart, and pass the property golf cart safety test.
    • Ability to input and access data into a computer.
    • Ability to think clearly, quickly, maintain concentration, and make a concise decision in pressure situations.
    • Ability to exert physical effort in setting up rooms.
    • Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours.
Required Qualifications:
    • Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision.
    • High School diploma or equivalent.
    • Minimum 16 years of age.
